Traffic Management Operative - Events

About the role

The Event Support Team is looking for an experienced Traffic Management (TM) Operative to join our crew, delivering safe and efficient traffic management at events across the country. From festivals and sporting fixtures to large-scale public gatherings, you'll play a vital role in keeping vehicles and pedestrians moving safely. This is a hands-on, varied role that involves travel to event sites nationwide, so a full UK driving licence is essential. As events often take place at weekends, you'll need to be available to work weekends as part of your regular schedule. We're after someone with genuine experience in the event and/or traffic management industry, who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a friendly, hard-working team. What you will be doing

• Set up, maintain and remove traffic management equipment such as cones, barriers and signage at event sites
• Direct and manage vehicle and pedestrian flow safely throughout events
• Travel to event locations across the UK, working flexibly including weekends
• Carry out site risk assessments and follow all health, safety and crowd-management procedures
• Work closely with the wider event team to ensure smooth, safe operations

What we are looking for

• Previous experience within the event industry or traffic management industry
• A full, valid UK driving licence
• Availability to work weekends and travel to events nationwide
• The right to work in the UK
• A reliable, safety-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills
